About Sarah

I love life, the beauty of each person’s uniqueness, God’s amazing world, being outside, strawberries, National Parks, doing skits, my new car, family gatherings and sitting in my comfy chair watching the birds with my morning coffee. Learning has always been part of my life, from the World Book Encyclopedia my mother bought for our family when I was a child to a myriad of online classes available today.

Through the death of my father when I was twelve, the death of my firstborn son and my husband’s survival after being wounded in the Vietnam War.

I recognized the gift of being alive and learned to embrace the day, notice the little things and look for those who need help.

Every month I will share a new picture of my life.

Today I share a picture of me holding my first great-grandson, Langston Boyd Glover who was born on Thanksgiving Day, 2025.

The picture was taken at his sister’s second birthday party. He took no notice of the festivities as long as he was snuggled on someone’s chest. We were outside at his grandparent’s farm. The sun was warming us as I watched the clouds drift by. My heart overflowed with the joy of living long enough to be a great-gram to another generation.

Langston’s middle name is for his Papa. I thought of Boyd and how exciting it would be to share this moment with him. But he has gone to heaven and I refuse to dwell on the “might-if’s” I want to embrace the “right-now’s”

It is the gift of the baby in my arms that reminds me to KEEP GOING…
